（本网2023年7月27日尼泊尔讯）来自中国高中二年级的学生Ruan同学于2023年7月26日从中国顺利抵达尼泊尔首都加德满都，风尘仆仆的他不顾舟车劳顿，第二天就直接进入课堂，给当地初中一年级的学生开始上外语课。学生们对新来的中国外教极为喜欢，大家都认真学习，课堂上充满着欢乐和喜悦。该校教学主任Toya Bhatta先生亲自拍摄了这个视频，并对Runan的教学给与了高度评价。同时，他对来自加拿大和中国的同行所做的相关工作表示了深切的感谢，也感谢了为此牵线搭桥的尼泊尔教育机构负责人Yuba Kafle。
Runan同学目前为中国高中二年级的在读学生，同时拥有加拿大高中学籍。为了扩大自己的国际化视野，增加社会实践经验，也为了提升自己的英文实际应用能力，把“哑巴英语”变成真正能实用的语言，利用自己的暑期假期来到了文化底蕴深厚，但是生活条件相对较差的历史古国尼泊尔，在当地的学校短暂地担任外语教师。他计划在一个月的时间内至少访问3个学校，一个在加德满都，第二个在卢比尼，第三个在博卡拉。加德满都是尼泊尔的历史文化名城，这里拥有数千年的古庙和大量的文化古迹。尼泊尔第二个文化名城是卢比尼，这里是佛祖释迦穆尼的出生地，每年都是大量的国际游客来这里朝拜和游览。博卡拉也是驰名海内外的城市，这里也是人们攀登珠穆朗玛峰的集散地，每天都有专用飞机飞往珠峰大本营。 世界最高峰里面的前7座山峰几乎都在博卡拉附近，这里聚集了大量的海外登山爱好者。由中国修建的博卡拉国际机场也将很快开通与中国的直航班机。
(Nepal News, July 27, 2023) Runan, a high school student from China, successfully arrived in the Nepalese capital, Kathmandu, on July 26, 2023. Despite the fatigue of his journey, he disregarded the hardships and immediately entered the classroom the following day to begin teaching foreign language to local junior high school first-year students. The students warmly welcomed their new Chinese foreign teacher and showed great fondness for him, demonstrating remarkable dedication during the lessons, which were filled with joy and delight. The school’s Academy Director, Mr. Toya Bhatta, recorded the video and highly praised Runan’s teaching skills. Furthermore, he expressed deep gratitude for the relevant work done by Canadian and Chinese peers Alvin and Mohana, as well as appreciation for Yuba Kafle, the head of the Nepalese educational institution that facilitated this exchange.
Currently enrolled in the second year of a Chinese high school, Runan also holds a Canadian high school enrollment. In order to broaden his international perspective, gain practical experience, enhance his English language skills and study Nepali, Runan decided to spend his summer vacation in Nepal—a country rich in cultural heritage. He took on the role of a foreign language teacher in local schools for a short period. Runan’s plan included visiting at least three schools in one month: one in Kathmandu, the second in Lumbini, and the third in Pokhara.
Kathmandu is renowned as a historical and cultural city, boasting ancient temples and numerous cultural relics that span thousands of years. Lumbini, Nepal’s second cultural city, is the birthplace of Lord Buddha, attracting a large number of international visitors for pilgrimage and sightseeing each year. Pokhara is also well-known worldwide, serving as the base for mountaineers seeking to conquer mountains around. The seven highest peaks in the world, are located in close proximity to Pokhara, including Mount Everest that is not too far, drawing a considerable number of overseas climbing enthusiasts. Additionally, the Chinese-constructed Pokhara International Airport is set to open soon, facilitating direct flights between China and Nepal.
