International Father’s day is not only a day on calendar it’s a day of celebration for the person who is the strength and power of our family. It is a day for expressing our love, gratitude and appreciation for him.
International Fathers Day, as we know it today, was initiated by Sonora Smart Dodd in the United States. The idea came to her in 1909 while listening to a Mother’s Day.
When her mother passed away during a childbirth her father raised Sonora and her siblings by giving both father and mother’s love. Inspired by his father’s love Sonora decided to establish a day dedicating to honoring fathers. With the support of local churches, community leaders, and the Spokane Ministerial Association, Sonora's efforts bore fruit, and the first Father’s Day celebration took place on June 19, 1910, in Spokane, Washington.
In 1972 that Father’s Day was officially recognized as a national holiday in the United States. President Richard Nixon signed it into law, designating the third Sunday of June as Father’s Day, a day to honor fathers and celebrate their contributions to family and society. And now it became the part of our society, culture and celebrated in many countries.
Father is not only a relation it’s our emotion, the backbone of every child and family, the role model and first hero of every child. A father reflects his image on his child which we can easily see. Father is the only person who inspire his child to do hard work and succeed in life. Only a father who can support his family who is the backbone for his family. If your father is behind you who is supporting you then no one can stop you he is always there for you in your bad and good both the timings. A father faces many problems in his life beyond this he balances his all work, family and his emotions.
Not only on Father’s Day we have to celebrate Father’s Day every day in our life by doing many activities by playing with them spending qualities time with them which will be our one of the bests memories of our life.
