It takes a man of gentleness, patience, strength and compassion to be a fine example of fatherhood. In all our good times and bad times our family support us. Each family member plays an important role. Father is the one on whom all the family members can rely. For honoring father and fatherhood, every year we celebrate third Sunday of June as father’s day. A day dedicated to all the fathers of the world. Father’s day also help us to understand and to recognize their importance in our life. The day was first celebrated on 1910 in Spokane, Washington in United States of America. On this day children to their father express their love and gratitude towards them by doing various things. Father’s day is not an original custom in India, but is rather followed by the influence of the western world. The day is usually celebrated in larger cities of India like, Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune, Chennai etc. young kids make cards, give chocolates to their father while the teenagers and youngsters spent a day with their father, give gifts like shirts, coffee mugs, book or gold necklaces and many more to their father on this day.
